About

Dr. Aarti Sathyanarayana is an Assistant Professor at Northeastern University, joint between the College of Health Sciences and the College of Computer Science. She is the director of the Signal processing And Time variant Health data (SATH) Lab and has an affiliation at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in the Department of Biostatistics, and at Massachusetts General Hospital & Harvard Medical School working with the Clinical Data Animation Center.

 

Her research lies at the cross-section of signal processing; machine learning; ubiquitous sensing; and human health & performance. She focuses on quality of life technologies, and advances cutting-edge machine learning techniques for the betterment of human health and wellness, particularly in digital phenotyping and digital biomarker discovery.

 

The goal: To ultimately empower health related decision-making and improve quality of life for all.

Dr. Sathyanarayana has 10+ years of experience in digital health and the computational sciences. Her past employers include Apple, Intel, Harvard Medical School, Mayo Clinic, & others.

Dr. Sathyanarayana was selected to participate in the 2019-2020 Women in the American Medical Informatics Association's Leadership Program. The program aims to develop the next generation of leaders in health informatics.
